2. Principle: local processing, no data transfer

The app processes data exclusively on the device. No usage or image data is sent to the developer or to third parties. TargetSpotter works offline.

3. Permissions the app uses and why

  • Camera: capturing the target image (e.g. through a spotting scope) for hit detection. Images are not stored permanently and are not shared.
  • Microphone: optional, for shot-sound detection. Audio is processed locally, not recorded and not stored.

4. Data stored locally

The device may store app settings (caliber, target type, sensitivity), the current session calibration and hit lists. Uninstalling the app deletes this data.

5. No sharing with third parties

App data is not sent to external servers.

6. Website

This website sets a language cookie (ts_lang) so your language choice is remembered.

7. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 only if you agreed in the cookie notice. Without consent the service is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics 4 is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects data about how the website is used, such as pages visited, time on page, approximate location, device type and browser. Your IP address is truncated by Google before it is stored. The purpose is the statistical evaluation of website usage in order to improve the content and the offering.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the ts_consent cookie in your browser. Data may be transferred to Google servers outside the EU, in particular to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can prevent collection by blocking cookies in your browser or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. 8. YouTube videos

This website embeds a video hosted on YouTube (Google Ireland Limited). The video is only loaded once you explicitly start playback – until then you see a preview image from our own server and no data is sent to YouTube. When you start playback, your browser connects to YouTube and transmits, among other things, your IP address and information about your device. We use the extended privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com), in which, according to YouTube, no profiling cookies are set as long as you do not play the video. The legal basis is your consent given by clicking play (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Further information can be found in Google’s privacy policy.
